PGCA Expert Register
The Association is formed of a group of experienced Independent Consultants, all of whom hold a number of different qualifications and certificates of competence.
They all have at least ten years practical experience within their chosen fields, and are admitted following a thorough vetting scheme to ensure that only qualified individuals are included in the Register.
As a basic foundation, each member must pass a points system, whereby a range of recognised Horticultural and Industry qualifications are achieved, each with varying meritorious strengths.
Once admitted, Members are entitled to use the letters designate MPGCA.
Each Member must remain fully insured at all times.
Consultants will be at least Full Members of two of the following organisations; The Chartered Institute of Horticulture (MCIHort), Professional Gardeners Guild, Society of Garden Designers (MSGD) or similar meritorious organisations.
Many have achieved Diploma or Degree status, including Masters and Bachelors’ Degrees in a Horticultural or related subject.
To become a Member, each Consultant must first undergo an Admittance and Standards Training Workshop to ensure the ethos and methodology of the Association is universal.
Membership is maintained by attending regular workshops and seminars to ensure that current regulations and best practice are followed.
